Efficiency with 14 sharply ground cutting edges

The 45° HEPTA face milling tools impress with fourteen-edged (2x7) indexable inserts. The sharply ground cutting edges generate low cutting forces and protect the workpiece. Each cutting edge has a ground smooth phase for high quality surfaces. The uneven pitch in combination with the peeling cutting process and a good balancing  are ideal circumstances for milling processes on modern 5-axis machining centers.

Indexable insert with 6 ground cutting edges

The new ALESA Delta indexable insert with 6 ground cutting edges is mounted tangentially on the milling cutter body. Various features of our proven TWIST insert, such as the 20° positive helix angle and the surfaces and angles ground on all sides, have been adopted. The advantages of the Delta insert: Increased efficiency thanks to 6 highly positive cutting edges, positive effect on the spindle load thanks to the high helix angle and low cutting forces, less vibration even with longer tools.
